Join the Royal LifeSaving Society for an Open Water Swim Festival here at the lake! This will consist of a variety of races suitable for all ages and abilities. British Quadrathlon and Team Manvers join forces to bring triathlon and quadrathlon back to the Dearne Valley. The aim is to deliver a Triathlon and Quadrathlon where people from all walks of life can participate. Come on down to spectate or indeed enter one of the Hasler Series Races. These will involve a series of circuits around a 1 mile marked course. You are able to launch from a slipway, beach or from the bankside. Parking is available at the venue, and there is no charge during events for the competitors. There are toilets and changing room available as well as a cafe serving drinks and snacks.

Come along and join us at the lake helping to raise money for Parkinson's UK. We are aiming to swim the equivalent of the English Channel - a target is 21 miles (33.8km). Most of the swimming would take place at the lake but it is possible for indoor swimmers to complete their distance before September 3rd and add their total to the list. Every 100m completed by a swimmer will count towards the grand total!

A new event for this year we will be swimming through the night on 30th September 2023! On the hour every hour get in and swim half a mile! 

Starting at 6pm competitors will enter the lake and swim 2 x 400m loops, this will repeat every hour on the hour till 5am on the Sunday morning. 

Entries are Individual or Teams of 3.

Manvers Waterfront Boat Club are offering a free* sailing day for non members of the club.
Come on down and launch your model boats or simply pop on down for a look and see what we are all about. There will be displays of all kinds of boats including yachts, scale and steam. All model boats are welcome other than petrol or I.C. powered models.​ *Car park tickets required.

The concept is simple, you run as many 3.21 mile laps of the lake as you can between 6PM on Saturday and 6AM on Sunday. Between these times you can start when you want and finish when you want. You can take break at any point have a rest and then complete more laps later, it is entirely up to you. 

Fancy getting on two wheels and exploring some of the most beautiful roads in the South Yorkshire? Why not enter Paces brand new cycling event, Pedal 4 Paces, where you can pick from two distances, a 30 mile loop or a 60 mile loop, and ride alongside other likeminded, and sometimes Lycra clad, cyclists.

The annual Kerala Pooram Snake Boat Race and Cultural festival will be returning to the lake once again. Organised by the Union of United Kingdom Malalyalee Associations (UUKMA), teams from all over the country will be competing.

The spectacular event will be a feast for both the eyes and ears as colourful flags, beating drums and adrenaline pumping racing takes place.

After the resounding success of our first festival in June we are following up with an 'Autumn Waves' festival for the local community to enjoy.
