Manvers Photographic Competition 2021
Manvers Lake & Dearne Valley Trust and Manvers Waterfront Boat Club are pleased to announce The Great Manvers Photo Competition 2021
Categories
There are four categories - Sport & Activities, Nature & Wildlife, Landscape & Scenery and People at Manvers. The important thing is that there should be a "Manvers" context to all photographs - the photo should either be taken at Manvers Lake or feature members of the club participating in any of the club's activities away from the lake.
Sports & Activities
Photographs of sports and activities in the context of Manvers Lake or Manvers Waterfront Boat Club;
Some examples:
Photographs of sports and activities in the context of Manvers Lake or Manvers Waterfront Boat Club;
Some examples:
- Photo of a sport or activity taking place at Manvers Lake
- Photo of a member (or members) of Manvers Waterfront Boat Club representing the club at a competition or event
- Photo of a club member (or members) on a club trip
Nature & Wildlife
Photographs of nature and wildlife on and around Manvers Lake;
Some examples:
Photographs of nature and wildlife on and around Manvers Lake;
Some examples:
- Photos of birds, fish, insects, plants at Manvers Lake
Landscape & Scenery
Photographs of the landscape and scenery around Manvers Lake.
Some examples:

- Views of Manvers Lake from different perspectives or viewpoints
- "Atmospheric" photos of Manvers Lake (e.g. sunsets, sunrises, mist)
- Photos of prominent landmarks or features at Manvers Lake (e.g. pit wheel)
People At Manvers
Photographs of people visiting Manvers Lake;

Prizes
The following prizes will be awarded;
Best Photograph Overall - one prize of £25
Best Photograph in each Category - four prizes of £15
Runner-Up in each Category - four prizes of £5

How To Enter
Photographs should be submitted in electronic format by email to photo@mwbc.org.uk
If the file size is too large for your email provider, put the images on a memory stick and bring it into the office.
Please include the following information in your email:
Subject: Manvers Photo Competition 2021
Your name and contact details
Information about your photograph - when and where it was taken, what is the subject, names of any people shown.
Credit Line information (if you want us to give you credit for the photo)

All photographs should be:
- sharply focused on the subject
- properly exposed
- high resolution to allow large format printing (the higher the better!)
Rules & Conditions of Entry
- Entry to the competition is free and is open to anyone
- Entries close on 1st December 2021.
- All photographs must be submitted in electronic format by email to photo@mwbc.org.uk. Please include your name, contact details and information about the photo.
- You can submit as many entries as you want in each category.
- By submitting an entry (or entries) you grant Manvers Lake & Dearne Valley Trust Ltd ("the Trust") and Manvers Waterfront Boat Club ("the Club") full rights to use any photographs submitted free of charge and without royalties for the purposes of promoting the aims and objectives of the Trust and Club. This use includes (but is not limited to) - websites, social media, printed materials, public display and press releases. This applies to all photographs submitted.
- The judges decision is final in deciding on the award of prizes.
