![]() A club trip to paddle the River Derwent from Darley Bridge to Matlock – 4.5 miles of easy Grade 1/2 moving water with a bit of excitement at the end in the form of the slalom course (optional – you can get out above the slalom course if you want). This trip is suitable for canoes and kayaks and for all abilities – it is an ideal trip for those doing 1 or 2 Star Awards who need to complete a journey to get their award. If you are in any doubt whether this trip is suitable for you talk to Bob Finch. If you need help getting there let us know and we will see what we can do. If you want to go on the trip please add your name to the list on the noticeboard at the boathouse - please leave contact details so we can contact you if there are any changes. Please also let us know if you need to borrow any club equipment for the trip (note the club makes a charge of £5 per day for borrowing club equipment).
