![]() Manvers canoe slalom squad will be competing at the Howsham Weir slalom on the River Derwent near York over the weekend of 11th/12th July. This is a national Division 2/3 & 4 ranking event and sees club paddler Ryan Quinn pushing for promotion to Division 1 - not bad for someone who has been competing for just over a year! The race is on mainly flat slow flowing water with the chute down the weir providing the main excitement . This is an ideal entry level slalom for newcomers to the sport and is always a good social event - their is camping on site for those who want to stay over the weekend. If you are interested in coming along on one or both days to compete or just watch and support our paddlers ask Bob Finch or Ryan Quinn for details. Comments are closed.
