![]() Club paddler John Clark will be participating in The Great North Paddle, a charity event which involves paddling (with the tide!) 13.5 miles from Scotswood Bridge through Newcastle/Gateshead to South Shields. John says: "I have booked to take part in this event, and have found what looks like a reasonably convenient campsite at Well House Farm near Riding Mill in Northumberland. I have also agreed with the organisers that I would check whether anybody else from MWBC is interested. And, if you are, it would be good to have your company on the water. Alternatively, if you can’t make it to the event, I would be very glad of sponsorship in the form of contributions to PHASE Worldwide – the Rotherham-based charity which aims to improve health, education and livelihood opportunities people in isolated Nepalese Himalayan villages. There is more information about PHASE at http://phaseworldwide.org/ and my fundraising page is at http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/JohnClark15. Thanks for your help! Details (including registration and payment forms) are on the Paddlesports Events CIC website - http://kayakathons.com/?page_id=994 If you want to talk about any of this, you can contact me on 0114 2351423; or 07905501671; or at jclark.sheffield@tiscali.co.uk" Comments are closed.
