Another Halloween Paddle & Party has been and gone and every year the event just keeps getting bigger and better! Despite the atrocious weather earlier in the day we had a great turnout of ghouls, ghosties, zombies, witches and wizards. This year for the first time we also had dragons courtesy of Team Manvers Dragons who fielded a boat full of weird creatures.
After the deluge earlier in the day the skies cleared to give us a glorious sunset background for the paddle. Thank you to everyone at the club who made it possible.
If you go down to Manvers Lake on the evening of Saturday 26th October, you will certainly get a big surprise! Expect to see witches, zombies, ghouls and ghosties galore!
The club will be holding it's annual Halloween After Dark Paddle and Party - every year this event gets bigger and better with more club members taking to the water in a fleet of imaginatively decorated boats paddled by even more imaginatively decorated people.
There is still time to book your place on this years Halloween Paddle and Party on Saturday 26th October. The boathouse will be open from 5 pm to decorate boats, with the paddle starting at 6 pm.
Afterwards there will be food and party games in the big room - this year it will be a buffet so please bring some party food to add to the buffet (no jelly please!).
Please book your places via webcollect at here
Manvers Waterfront Boat Club is now on Facebook! We have been reviewing the club's presence on Facebook and now have a new page to represent the entire club. If you haven't already visited the new page simply search for @manversboatclub on Facebook.
As part of the same review we are linking all of the Facebook groups for the individual sections of the club to the new club page - this will make them easier to find.
The recent coffee morning held by Manvers Lake Cafe in support of Macmillan Cancer Support raised the fantastic sum of £317.65. The cafe staff would like to thank everyone for their generous support for this worthy cause.
The lake level remains well above normal a week after it was flooded. Although the water level is slowly falling the waterfront path in front of the boathouse remains under water.
Manvers Waterfront Boat Club is a thriving multi-sport club based at Manvers Lake in South Yorkshire.
