![]() Manvers Waterfront Boat Club will be hosting a regional British Canoeing "Coach Matters" event over the weekend of 9th and 10th May 2015. The event is aimed at helping paddlesport coaches to stay updated and to provide them with the opportunity of fulfilling the continuous personal development (CPD) requirements of their coaching award. There are a number of CPD modules on offer over the weekend, and also the opportunity to meet coaches from other clubs and exchange ideas and experiences. The event is open to any current paddlesport coaches or those currently training to become coaches, not just from MWBC but from other clubs both regional and nationwide. There will be a BBQ at the club on Saturday evening which is open to all those attending the event and also to any club members who would like to come along. Entry Fees will be refunded to those people who have already submitted an entry to the event.
We would like to apologise for any inconvenience and hope to run this event again at a later date. ![]() Seven coaches from the Paddlesport section recently completed a Level 2 coach training course at Manvers. The course, run over two weekends by Scott Bradley of Canoe Courses was attended by Trevor Coldron, Ryan Quinn, Dan Porter, Yvonne Merrills, Stephen Murray, Gary Nuttall and Bob Finch. The group will be working towards completing their Level 2 assessments and gaining the Level 2 coaching award later this year.
