By know we are sure you all know about the Government advice on "Social Distancing" to reduce and slow the spread of COVID-19. But Social Distancing doesn't mean that you have to be a couch potato! You are allowed to go out for a walk and get some fresh air - and with a few precautions it will do you the world of good!
If only there was somewhere nearby where you could go for a walk, enjoy great scenery. Somewhere with enough space to stay at least 2 metres from other people. Somewhere that had a cafe serving hot drinks and delicious snacks. Wouldn't that be fantastic? There is such a place and it is called Manvers Lake! So why not come along to Manvers and enjoy a break from all of the doom and gloom on TV. We have even removed the car parking charges so you can park for free!
The impact of the (COVID-19) pandemic is already being felt in many aspects of our lives and this is likely to escalate in the coming weeks.
In light of the latest UK Government advice, and the subsequent guidance issued by the various National Governing Bodies of the club's activities we have decided to suspend all club sessions until 30th April 2020. The club takes the safety of our volunteers and members very seriously, and will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates as required via the club website at https://www.mwbc.org.uk and via social media. We apologise for any inconvenience caused and ask that you all bear with us in these trying times. |
